Is My Retreat Package Refundable?

As a small group retreat and your booking is confirmed and Non-Refundable when you pay your deposit. We are not in a position to offer a refund for any reason whatsoever. We ask you to purchase travel insurance using a credit card so that you can request a refund through your policy. You will be asked to sign a waiver holding Sonya Welch-Moring aka Makhosi Nyoni not-liable for any illness, accident or missed flights after the confirmed booking

Do I need a VISA for travel to South Africa?

UK and USA passport holders do not need a VISA for stays of up to 90 days. Please make sure that your passport is up to date and valid for 6 months after travel. If in doubt you should check the South African VISA requirements on the SA Government Home Affairs website Here

Do I need a Covid-19 vaccination?

South Africa no longer requires proof of a Covid-19 vaccination to enter the country as a tourist. Things are unlikely to change between now and the retreat in November, but do stay up to date on any new global health emergency.

Will I be sharing with another group member or have my own room?

There is only one shared room at the retreat venue and that will be offered to the support team. All other retreat members will have their own room, bed sizes vary.

Do you provide ground transportation to/from the airport?

Yes. We will offer two pick-up and return transfer times to and from the venue at OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg only. It is your responsibility to make sure that you can make one of the allocated pick-up times. Outside of these times, we can order a taxi for you at your own cost. Scheduled times and pick up points will be provided closer to the retreat date

Do you have discounts available?

The retreat will have a 10% discount if paid in full at the time of booking.

Do I need to book my flight? 

You are responsible for booking your flight to and from South Africa. From the UK, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and South African Airways offer direct flights to Johannesburg, OR Tambo International.

When should I book my retreat?

You should book your retreat as soon as you’re able to because there are only 6 spaces for the retreat on a first come basis. Flights are often cheaper the earlier you book, we cannot guarantee you a place if you wait to book your place.

Should I get travel insurance?

Travel insurance is required an dit is your responsibility to make sure that you are covered for any eventuality. We will ask you to sign a contract and a waiver that stipulates these conditions and ask to see the insurance before you leave for the retreat.

 

Who can attend the retreats?

Our retreats are open to Black women and Women of Colour, from around the globe,  who are interested in Systemic Constellations Practice and African Traditional Healing.

What is Included?

There will be a schedule of workshops, learning circles and events. You will also receive information on accommodation and not all meals will be provided. Where 

When will I receive the trip details?

Then you register and pay your deposit, you will receive a welcome email with general trip information. If you opted for an installment plan, you will also receive auto-reminders 3 days prior to the payment date. As the date of the retreat approaches over the next few months, you will receive emails on specifics relevant to your trip.

What should I bring?

South Africa in November is approaching summer, so be sure to bring light clothing for the day. It is advisable to bring a rain coat and light sweater for cloudier days. Everyone is different, so please do your research and make sure that you come with clothes that you are comfortable with. Other things to consider, medication, sunglasses, hats  sunscreen, bug repellent, comfortable clothes and shoes, trainers, water shoes, swimwear, a reusable water bottle. A travel towel is a good idea as is a light shawl of blanket for evenings. A cushion could be useful and a good torch for any load shedding It is advisable to bring a power bank so that you can back up your electrical equipment.

Can I arrive early or stay late?

It is not possible to arrive earlier that the start date of the retreat. there is he possibility of staying 2 more nights, you will have to discuss that with the retreat leader and be prepared to pay an additional cost for the extra days. No meals will be provided if you choose to stay longe. ou are more than welcome to book your travel to arrive early and/or stay post-retreat. If you choose to do so, you will be responsible for the cost of your room at the hotel/resort/villa for those additional days. We will do our best to work with the hotel/resort to give you the same rate that your group will receive for the retreat. Contact us directly for more information. 

How much free time will we have?

The ambiance of the venue is one of relaxation and work. There will be smaller spaces and a garden to relax in. Most of the events and excursions will finish between 6pm-7pm leaving your evenings free. there will also be some free time during the days and possible one full day off.
